STRATEGIES IN ENGLISH SPEECH

A. The principles in selecting speech
•  Clear
Words  that do not cause a lot of interpretation        that is easily understood by the audience.
• Concrete
The words are really  embodies the meaning that we want to convey.
• Solid / Concise
The phrase chosen to use words economically and concisely.
• Attract / colorful
The words can be both exciting and intriguing.
• Recent / current
• Be careful / Cautious

B. Words  and expressions with the meaning of style
• The words of formal / official
The words are usually expressed in formal social situations.
• common words / general words
The words that appear in common social situations or everyday life.
• The words poetic / poetic words
Words that are commonly used to construct the sentences of a poem.
• colloquial words
The words that appear in ordinary conversation (ordinary conversation) in a situation that is not formal.
• Slang
Expression  words commonly used in conversation between close friends or colleagues.
• The words taboo / taboo words
The words spoken in an inappropriate relationship, especially in speech.
• Jargon
Technical words commonly used to communicate in an environment of a particular job or profession.
• The words the old or ancient / out of date / archaic words
The words are rarely used in modern communication except in the biblical revelation of a sermon. For example: Lest - let
• Gobbledygook
Words that are commonly used to create the impression, obscure or disguise the problem and make the listener confused or wondering.
• The words cut / clipped words
Words that cut beneficial to attract the attention of the audience quickly. Appropriate use in an atmosphere that is informal.. for example: mathematics, math.

C. Phrase and sentence
• Alliteration / alliteration
Phrases or sentences that consist of words with repetition of sounds or letters of the strands of these words. Example: man-made machine
• The contraction / constractions
In English verbal auxiliary verb is often used in a way in shorten or contract. For example, "I am - I'm
• The reduction / reduced forms
In a rapid oral disclosure, the phrase component words or sentences can be shortened or reduced for example.: gonna-going to
• Slogans
Phrases are impressive and memorable. For example, "now or never
• Idioms
Phrases or sentences whose meaning can not be understood word meaning perkata.misalnya make-good experience.
• Comparison of idiomatic / idiomatic comparisons
Idiometic  comparison intended to enrich or reinforce the message. For example: look at the Japanese! They are always a busy as a bee.
• Strains / rhytm
Series of words which is pressurized to form a rhythm and intonation.
• Repetition
A word or phrase and sentence  that can be repeated to give the feel of the speech message.
• Antithentic sentence
Sentences that contain ideas that contrast.
• Epigram
Short sentence expressing a poetic idea.
• Proverb / Proverbs and aphorisms / wise words
Words of wisdom that contain messages of value.
• Quotes
The phrase that contains the value, the message and meaning as a result of experience and reflection.

LANGUAGE IN STYLE speech / Figures OF SPEECH
• metaphor / metaphor
Style that uses words with figurative.
• Simile
Style of language to provide imagery directly, usually using the word''like''or''as''
• metonymy
The use of a word to replace other words.
• Synecdoche
The use of a word or phrase to indicate something else.
• personification / PERSONIFICATION
Style that uses inanimate objects or abstract.
 FOREIGN WORDS IN ENGLISH SPEECH / Public Speaking Conjunctive CONVERSATION OR interrupters / LINK WORDS OR Discourse markers
• Emphasize attitude or opinion
• Adding new information or evidence
• Provide examples of
• Reveal a contrast or difference
• Delivering a result
• Emphasizing the fact
• Delivering personal opinion
• Warn that what has been presented contain some truth, but not the whole truth
• Provide referral or center of attention
• Convey that some of the examples cited have been sufficient, although other examples may be mentioned
• Create a reference / link data with experience or knowledge
